1972: Founding of Associated Steel Industries LTD (A.S.I.).
1973: The Riva Group purchases two lots in the town of Sainte-Catherine. Beginning of the construction of a scrap metal recycling plant powered by four 100% electric overhead cranes.
1975: Certificate of approval from the Department of the Environment and construction of administrative offices.
1976: Start of production of a Hammermills 3000 H.P. crusher with a capacity of 60 tonnes per hour.
1977: Implementation of a wet chamber dust collection system to capture fine particulate matter.
1978: Building of a garage and of a railroad.
1981: Creation of a conveyor for loading ships.
1983: Construction of a non-ferrous recovery system.
1985: creation of a green space to serve as a noise barrier for the neighborhood
2012 to 2014: Repairs and upgrades to the production lines and to various plant workstations to meet current health and safety standards.
2019: Construction of a building to cover automotive residues and upgrade of the storm and sanitary system to be up to environmental standards.
2021: Began waterproofing the production areas and RIOS certification and ISO 50001 .
2022: Installation of a Danieli pre-shredder with a capacity of 100 tons per hour and of a variable speed drive on the 3,000 H.P. motor of the shredder.
